Hi Lori: LOL, my likeness on your mashed potatoes…that sounds interesting and fun When I think of sculpting on mashed potatoes I flash back to a movie that spooked me as a kid, Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Remember that one? I think the video is a tool that does a great job inspiring creative filmmakers (or video makers). I’m glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for your words of support!

Hi Ryhen: Ha ha…chaos and disorder! Yeah, there is plenty of that in our world. One thing I really enjoy about “modern art” is its ability to take more risks. I have visited plenty of modern art exhibits…and some have really left me scratching my head and thinking ‘this is art?’ But there have been other times when the work blows me away. I’m sure the YouTube/Guggenheim contest will get a similar range in quality of work. I will say that I’m curious to see more.

The video says, “Artists should always be challenging the status quo, and that includes museums.” Are they really sure they want this to happen? Maybe they are not aware that the world is already in the brink of chaos and disorder. lol
